Surfriding One fuel line and a primer? Cosher?

Picked up an sj with peacock removed and DIY internal fill with only one fuel line. Can I put a primer in the line or should I ad a reserve line.

Add the reserve line and run it off that. Much safer.

Safer because then I have a reserve or because I get a better fuel supply without the interruption in the main line

HAHA! I totally spaced this question lol! Does it have a return line? If so, put it in that, not a reserve line. Sorry, I had a senior moment there. And for the return line, run it from the top of the tank, then down low in the hull (to always hold a bit of fuel no matter what) then back to the return line from the carb's. At the lowest point of the return line (bottom of the hull) install your primer T fitting.

Oddly enough the primer can pump fuel into the reserve line.

I have a separate line that is the same length as my feed no problems so far. Last year i had it in my return line
