old Skat trak impeller.. what is it?

this impeller is on an 86 X2 i just bought. it has no other markings other that that "V" or is it a "7"? is it a variable pitch or 17??? also while i have access to this thing what can i check on the pump to make sure everything is cool on that end??

thats a variable pitch impeller. the actual pitch is probably stamped behind one of the blades.

check your clearance and bearings.

also, make sure that you leave absolutley NO gappage with the silicone when you re-install that puppy. sometimes its difficult to get your finger all the way up top in the pump cavity to spread the silicone because the drive shaft is in the way. if theres the slightest void in silicone, itll cavitate like a mofo.
