ODI grips?

I have 2 pair of the Rogue's, 1 on my SJ and 1 on 96xp. They're nice and tacky when dry but I find that they are slippery when they get wet with my bare hands.... do any of you have the same problem or is everyone just wearing gloves? I'm assuming all the other ones are the same rubber i.e. Ruffian's and the Mountain Bike version. Am I correct?

I have the Rogues also and I was told that they are a softer compound rubber than the Ruffians. I have tried both and the Rogue grip seems to be wearing faster that the Ruffians. Both feel tacky and grip well. Buy some gloves:biggrin:

Threadjacking- Is there any difference in the ATV Rogues/Ruffians vs. the watercraft? Only reason I'm asking is I can get the ATV ones at a local shop.
Thanks,
Bri

I heard someone once say something about stainless hardware. But I say fooey to that. They seize up anyway.

the hardware on the watercraft grips dont rust like the bike ones do. also, in my experiences, if you antiseize or grease the threads, they wont seize up. all of our skis have rogues. ive never tried ruffians. sounds too much like russians and ruffles.... so they cant be any good.

OK, so wear gloves.... now here comes the 2nd Q. What brand gloves do you guys wear?
I've read the horror stories of the slippery's so do you guys use MX gloves?

I personally wear water ski gloves. they don't fall apart like the slipery ones do.

home depot has some $8 gloves that hold up just as good as any of the ones ive ever used. personally, i think the wear and tear on gloves has more to do with the way theyre left to dry.

Now I've been really liking the grip with the rogues, bare handed.
Brand new -- do they get slippery as they wear?
I am *not* wearing gloves, if these get slippery I'll be looking for something else.

I'm not sure as I didn't pay attention, it's just something I noticed.... In all honesty its really only a problem on my XP with the way I ride sometimes I've come close to eating shiat @ high speeds cause my hand has slipped. The SJ isn't a problem or maybe cause they're not worn enough yet????

I'm with you, I don't like the idea of wearing gloves.... just another thing to loose, give me tan lines and soggy fingers...
