So my 02 isn't running right. It did this thing in the surf, where if I leaned it to the right, it would bog. I thought it was the carbs sucking up the sloshing water. All I had to do was let the throttle go to idle for a second, and it would clear out. Now it's running like that almost all the time past 1/4 throttle... Idle and just off idle is fine, but at about 1/4, it bogs, almost like the rev limiter is stopping it. Occasionally I can still go to idle and hit it and it'll run right for a second, or 10 seconds, then bog down.
Carbs are cleaned, tried two new sets of plugs. Spark is very weak... Can only see it if I close the gap some, but it still runs... Electrical box had water in it... Cleaned it out and all the connections, no change. A couple months ago, my stator shorted out due to water in there.. I put a clean one in and fixed that. When I pulled the plug off the top of the stator housing, it looks clean and dry inside.
So, does anyone have ideas? Could it be metal filings or something on the stator...?
