Octane Octane reenforcement

So I need to reenforce my Octane, both the bottom and sides. Figured I'll glass the motor mount plates as well. What is the best practice for that? Do I take all the green stuff off, or leave it and just glass over everything?

is it a salty mess? and are they lifting yet? i removed my plates they were lifting and i am going to yamaha power. they come right off. i got the glue from wammer glued them in and then lay 2 layers of 17oz over the top but not were the mounts sit. i changed the driveshaft bearing housing to yamaha also. the polaris one is a pile of crap.

Are you riding this in the surf? If not, I would just do the motor mounts.

I ride in the surf. The aluminum plates are still stuck in the green glue. I'm just going to glass over them, as well as the sides, bottom, and nose area with 17 oz.

that should work just try not to back flop it to many times or your motor will be laying on your hood. lol

I've beat it up pretty good as it is, and the previous owner tore it up, yet the engine mounts are still solid... I want to get it upside down though, so I'm done with the borrowed time... Will two layers of 17 oz around the whole inside be enough to strengthen it substanially?

ya should be good. but that polaris motor is pretty heavy.
