In the spirit of posting what will be considered another completely overlapping thread to some…here is another for which I seek expert advice.
Based on input from yesterday’s thread as well as from random posts on other threads, I am now more seriously considering (i.e., obsessing) whether or not I should actually just buy a ski for the ocean, even though a flatwater backflip remains my objective, just maybe a longer-term goal???
For the ocean, at least in my simple mind, it “seems” more obvious to forego all the potential ice cream engine blah blah blah nonsense and just get a superjet as many have recommended I do, especially given the abuse it will have to tolerate simply by being in the ocean. It will be cheaper of course and makes more sense since it would be kept in the marina right next to where I live (pictured where in general I would keep it in a slip).
It will be WAY easier to get used to backflips since I can just leverage the waves to pull a backflip and this will allow me to perfect the technique a lot quicker. I would also assume I can then very easily transition to the lake and backflip a boat wake, though only a boat wake since it would only be a 550 most likely…not 100% on that yet though.
There are actually some attractive women that hang out on the docks on weekends so while the lake may be better, still potential which is never a bad thing.
(edited to at least include some form of a question) Does it make sense and would you just go the ocean route given the convenience and because cheaper and easier to pull a backflip?
