Well yah I guess it is.
I'm trying to figure out which pipes work best for flatwater. Given the motor's cc's. So I guess I am wondering what cc ranges do certain pipes work best in?
FB limited? have recently read that the manifold and headpipe are restrictive and may not work the best above 800cc's?
PFP states as some others have said, that they work best when the motor's cc's are at, or above 800cc's? I am still curious though, how they would work if the jetting and pump setup was right if installed on say a 62t 61x ported 760, or 771?
And lastly. What size motor cc range do the other dry pipes like? Are the ex manifolds big enough to support more cc's? Can they be opened up without going through water jackets / lines?
Type 4?
Type 9?
Freestyle or race?
Rive Red (type 4 I think?)
Speedwerx?
If jetting and pump were right, it seems like some of these dry pipes could be an improvement. Although it seems the install may take more time to get them lined up properly to keep reliability up. And a filter before the stinger. And what hulls will they fit in? Some newer hulls have pretty low hoods and this style dry pipe looks a bit FAT on the top.
Well...? What do you guys know about these?
Thanks fellas
Jay
