Non Hydroturf turf

Found some stuff at Shucks auto parts yesterday that looks like its made from the same stuff as Hydroturf, but about 3/8 thick and interlocking. Its 2' square and comes 6 in a pack for $15, has a moulded diamond plate looking finish. anyone try it?

Ocean Pro used to sell mats made from that material and they were pretty good.

i had this piece of crap matting stuff that sounds similar to what your describing on my 550 when i got it. It was slippery as hell and didnt go up onto the sides of the tray so i would come in with bloody feet all the time. Just buck up and buy some B Stock and have at it. Trust me, its worth it.

I have been looking for a hydroturf replacement for a LONG time.. But as stated above... Just buy some Hydroturf and be done with it. I don't like the diamond B stuff I think it has a harder compound than the regular black lined.. But I have no proof just what I experienced with my 2 skis.

But for under padding there are many replacements for that. Everything from kitchen mats to yoga mats. Yoga mat being the softest (my favorite) but any closed cell foam will work under the turf.

My father-in-law covered his van floor in it. It works really well in there. We walk on it with dirty shoes all the time and it has held up better than turf would have. Home Depot has some of the stuff in black.. Or maybe it it Menards... I can't remember whichbut I was thinking about doing my ski in it. BUT the thickness would make it impossible to do the footholds..
