newly swapped 62T SN won't fire

I had just finish putting together my newly acquired compete 62T from a seller that claimed that it was a running engine (the engine does look good.) My problem is I hooked up everything today and all it does is it wants to turn over but not fire.

put a plug-in spark tester and seems to have consistent spark. I can smell fuel in the carbs and see the oil on the spark plug. still will not start.

the engine came as a bone stock 62T to put in place of my stock 650. I replaced the head with a stock 61X head and put a 61X exhaust manifold on it, port matched. using the 650 EBox with a 62T CDI.

the gas I just put in is a little over a month old 93 with 40:1 TWC3 oil

any suggestions? I'm kinda new at the whole thing but I'm fairly sure I have everything hooked up that needs to be. Just will not want to fire

From your disription you are getting fuel and spark. There is no reason it shouldn't be firing. Pour a small amount of fuel in the carbs and see if it will fire. If it starts to run and shuts off than you have a fuel issue. If it won't start than you have a spark issue.

that's what it needed! found a new problem afterwards. it idles fine, out of the water, but once you give it gas it bogs down really bad and sometimes dies.

gonna check the ground in the EBox and if it does it again I guess it's something with the carbs.

The guy I bought the complete engine from said it ran fine so I didn't think I would need to adjust the carbs at all
