Hi all I'm new on here and to jet ski's so thought I'd post and see what everyone thinks and suggests.
my name is Steve and I live in the uk and have recently purchased a js440 with my brother.
Ski, I purchased the ski from a friend at work who has had it in here farthers garden for 12 years under a tree. She said she would accept £100 so nearly 200 dollars I believe and that was with the trailer.
she said its an ex racing ski, from what we can see it has a solas prop, west coast arrester, 550 exhaust and finger throttle.
we took the engine apart and cleaned up and within a day it was running with a little tweak on the carb.
Myself and brother, considering we have never been on a stand up ski before within to sessions on a lake we are both standing up, power sliding and gaining our balance,
thanks to the school of YouTube lol I have managed to nose stab the ski completely under the water successfully apart from falling of the side,
So apart from this we are both under all of your guidance about what we can do to the ski performance wise and body wise. I no we need to strengthen the nose as there is a crack forming unsure if just paint cracking or it goes deeper into the hull. I'm trying to upload pictures but as I'm on iPad it won't let me so I'll try in next couple of days.
We would both appreciate all your comments
cheers Steve and John.
