Mark, I'm not a composites expert at all, but the thing feels very solid. It actually feels like it weighs the same as a stock cast aluminum plate. It's pretty thick, and you can see in the pics its got some solid ribbing and what not. Who knows? I'm not planning on any 20' re-entries any time soon. It probably won't ever look this pretty again, but that's a given with any new parts. I'll of course let y'all know if I ever bust it.

$150 plus $40 for shipping. That was regular mail, which meant a transfer from Brazilian Postal to USPS. Kinda scary, we lost track of it after 2 days and then it magically appeared at my door 3 weeks later. Next time I'll do UPS for sure. Of course now that CG Racing is a dealer, things will probably change.
Even at $190, it was still cheaper than the Blowsion Lip Ripper plate I was looking at.

Overly extravagant? Probably
Could I have cut a stock plate and gotten 99% of the same effect? Most likely
Will chicks dig my new custom carbon fiber ride plate from Brazil? God I hope so.

Sounds kinda heavy for being all carbon. I would expect it to be lighter then cast even built to hold up. I know Trinity's huge SXR plate is light as hell, and built like a tank. Probably a third to half of the weight of a cast rideplate. But I know very little about Carbon, so who knows. That is a good price if it is all carbon!

Cracker... I been busy lately....

I'm finally going to work on my ski this afternoon. I'll get out the ol' kitchen scale and weigh the two side by side.
