Been wanting to get another pitbike after selling mine, finally found a good deal and traded a blaster project for an '02 KX65. It's not a traditional pitbike but its the same size as a KLX110 and will blow the doors off. I thought it would be good for kicking around the yard, I was wrong, a 14 hp, 6speed, ass kicking lightswitch motor, this thing hauls the mail! I'll get some pics soon, can't wait to get some seat time on it, I am 6'4" 180lbs and it scares the crap out of me, I can't imagine putting a child on it.

I got it with a bad topend, bought a complete running motor for $250 and put that in. I will probably put a new piston in it this winter, it seems strong so hopefully it will last that long.

cool.

I dont know about the 02 model. but the later KX65s used the same plastics, seat etc. as the 110. if thats the case on youres, could make finding custom pit bike parts alot easier.

Yeah its the same as the KLX, the guy who had it before me put on some cheapo carbon look plastics. They are like new so they will stay on for now but eventually I want to get something else. First I need to upgrade the suspension.

The rear shock is the hard part, the 65 has linkage (linkage rear suspension for those KTM folks :jester:) There are a couple custom shock options but they cost big bucks, strangely the shock off of a 2007 GSXR750 bolts on (with very little modification), its a little stiff but better than the pogo I have now.
