New suggestions for the site

Once I get time, here's what I want to work on:

1. Adding a link to an individual's gallery pics to their profile/when you click their name.
2. Gallery instructions.
2a. have the gallery automatically create your first album when you click Upload File so you don't have to.
3. upgrade to vbulletin 3.6 once it's public (soon)
4. rearrange the navbars to simplify them.
5. rework the wording on the intro on the front page.
6. after upgrading to 3.6, move the attachments to our other hosting account which has a ton of storage/bandwidth to allow larger files.



What other ideas do you have? Specific or general ones.

What do you mean by simplifying the navbars? Are you talking about the ones on the home page, which I don't really like. But I like the way they are every where else....just my .02. As always though, thanks for all your hard work in your "spare time".

The front page is meant to be an intro for new visitors, not a way to get around the site.

I don't think they are crowded. But what did you have in mind? I very seldom go to the home page, but I think it looks great. Very inviting & intrigueing (sp) to a first time visitor.

I vote to combine some of the sections. there are getting so many to check. 25 is alot I think. there is the new posts button and that takes the sections down to one. how about a happy medium? 15-20?

(None of this is a big deal at all though)

what i would like is a little icon in each forum that shows i responded to that post. alot of other forums have that and i think its really handy to see what posts have been replied too.

We have that. Go into Account Options, set Default Thread Subscription Mode to No Email Notification. That will do it.

What items are recommended for surf riding?
et cetera

I nominate Michael950 since he's done well with the Tech section. If he doesn't have time, I'll work on it.

This may sound stupid, but would it be possible to put the todays post link on the menu bar rather than in the quicklinks pull down menu? Like I said it may sound stupid but my phone doesnt seem to like the pull down menu.
