New ski Delimma

ok Last year I acquired a 1990 650sx that sat for 8 years in the desert, I paid 500 for it took it home, cleaned the tank, eliminated the oil pump and premixed. cleaned the inside of the engine. Glassed a hole in the front of the hull, other than the basics everything was in great condition (as well as it could be anyways) I took it out riding and it was awesom for the first two weekends, sat for about 2 weeks with only 1 start up in between, rode for 20 minutes and blew rear rod bearing and tore up entire motor. (sorry so long)

ok now my thing is this.... I dont want to dump a lot of money into a ski that I would just get rid of soon for a superjet or a 750SX. I really want a square nose SuperJet, I am into freestyle and I seemed to pick it up fairly easy. on my first weekend I could sub it, fountain, ride backwards, and jump a full wake behind our boat, 360 spin in the water....yada yada you get the point. But I can not find a Superjet for the life of me! I have heard a correct price for a stock or moderately modified SN SJ is about 12-1400? I live in Tucson ARIZONA.

Also I was breifly thinking of getting a 550 to learn some stuff on like barrel rolls and flips. How agile is the 550, and is it air worthy? Powerful enough? compared to the 650 (i thought was decent but its the only standup ive ridden) Thank you for your time and answers.

Wait for a Superjet. I don't know how flexible you are with driving to get one, but there is a nice one for sale in South Cali, close to you (relatively) for 1200.

It's right on this forum, in the for sale section, posted by Nikad58.
They aren't all that hard to find, you just have to know where to look, look all the time and be ready to jump.
