Super Jet New pistons clearance and ring gap

Hi guys

just got my new pistons from jetmaniac for my 760 build up

now my questions are

piston clearance

the instructions on the box say 0.09mm-0.12mm

ring gap


here is where im a little confused

i looked on a wiseco for the formula

so i have 84mm pistons which equals 3.307''

so 3.307''x0.004''=0.0132'' Gap

to make it metric

0.0132''x 25.4mm =0.335mm so in essence a 0.3mm gap

does that seem right to me its a little large but who knows

Sounds right. The heat when running will make the ring grow, closing the gap.

It sounds like you have a set of Pro-X pistons. Which your piston clearance should be around .10mm or .004" and your ring end gap should be .25mm-.40mm or .010"-.016"
