New guy needs tips

I've been rining in the Gulf of Mexico for years on my little seadoo 580 and loving it. I did it so much I set up a live camera stream so I could see the surf and hit the waves- piercam.net
I always thought the rough surf would be to much for my 91 superjet and would break the pole. That all went out the window when a friend who shoots professionally came back with video of pancake. Now I want to start getting my SJ ready for the Gulf. It's completly stock and has been idle while the 580 had all the fun.
What are the basics to getting the ski ready for a life of freestyle? I have no idea where to start and what to get and where to get it from.

Tks

refoam the gunwales
reinforce inside of hull
install footholds
hydroturf
front/dual exhaust
bilge pumps
scupper
shortened handlepole

how much do you want to spend?

hood
pipe
head
cases

i mean, all you really need is some footstraps if youre on a budget.

check out the ski buildups forum to see how and what people are doing to their skis to make them thrashworthy.
