Just picked up a 94 blaster with Riva red head, Riva Red pipe, impeller, intake, ignition rev limiter upgrade, etc.... Compression on rear cylinder was 155 but front cylinder was 130~. Pulled the motor, popped the head off, and definitely a blown head gasket. Cylinders look decent with no marks/scarring of any nature BUT also no hash marks from a hone. Its probably been a while since it was freshened up and I have no idea on history. Should I take it in and have a machinist order some pistons to match and hone it, or just order new head gasket and put it back together?
Hull was dropped off this morning to be painted. Will have it back in two weeks so I have a little time to work on the engine.
Thanks
