I have a Saris Bones which worked fine with my KHS full suspension though I have to use a clip-on crossbar which was an extra $30.

After getting my wife's 29"er with a 15" frame, it's really difficult to get her bike on securely without buying another crossbar, so I bought a platform hitch rack and couldn't be happier.

After I sell the Bones trunk rack/crossbar I'll only be out maybe $100 for the upgrade.

Swagman XTC-2 btw, $195 shipped with locking anti-rattle pin.

Jett, be aware if someone rear ends the car with the bikes on the rack the first thing the other driver is going to say is the bicycles were blocking your break/tail lights. To me it doesnt look to be a problem but you will get the one guy/woman that is on his cell phone not paying attention behind you.
Just something to think about.

There are these things that connect the hubs to the rims called spokes. The wonderfull thing about them is you can see right through them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And how is that different from the trunk rack I was using, like the ump-teen million others that are on the roads?

Besides, Kentucky is a no-fault insurance state---trade your info and on your way unless your vehicle is disabled.

Mr Popo. Can you see my brake lights when I hit the pedal? "Yes, I can". Thank you Mr Popo.

This is better than a hitch hauler with a cooler or nothing at all. You can see the bikes, so you know to be more carefull. With nothing on a hauler, if you are in a truck, you may not even notice the rack below your line of sight (Blocked by your hood)
