Need some opinions on a design i made for my ski

Hello all,

I just bought a BOB Gen 2 and it will be here in a few weeks since i Live in Aruba.
It has a UMI pole, Yamaha 710cc. Its a group K milled head and Factory B pipe and mild porting. Stock 38 carbs. Stock pump and prop is Skat 9/17.

Just wanted to give a huge thanks to @jet rider for the sale, I am very excited to get the ski.

I am planning on changing the looks a bit, what do you guys think of the design I made?
Should I do it when i get it?

Interesting, But I would sell that pole and swap to an XMetal or RRP first...... UMI poles are find for racing, but their design does not work well with freestyle.

Thanks, but I'm about to start learning to ride now so i'm not sure it will affect me as much. Once i start doing tricks i might consider switching if it doesn't workout.

Thanks for the opinion, I know it's not usual to see these types of designs on skis but i'm just trying to merge my style with my ski, and in my opinion it kind of works out

Bottom looks sick. That pole is gonna be wayyyy to long tho. Get an xmetal comp length

on the ski clinic its a 200$ difference between the xmetal comp and the billet rrp, if the rrp is better i wouldn't mind spending the extra money

With RRP, all you get is the pole, you do not get the steering stop, or chin pad. With XMetal, you get both. you already have your steering system.

Yeah it looks pretty good at the moment. I was thinking about maybe putting turf on the chinpad when i get the white turf for the hull.

The problem is the turn down angle on the pole. It puts your arms and elbows in a weird position where you do not get good leverage on the bars. If your racing it is fine because you are not trying to get the pole low as possible for tricks...

Thanks, ill probably be using the umi for now just to learn. The previous owner told me the pole was Ross Champion's and it's reinforced. I looked it up and found a video where he is using one. I admit it looked long but he did pull off some tricks. But I know it will be easier to pull them off with a shorter pole so I'm taking the advice and I will get another pole
