Need help with carb

Finally got my ski out on the water and few timeseconds and have been having trouble with getting the carb tuned in (i think it's the carb). To me it seems like it is landing up on the low end, once it picks up some speed it takes off and has plenty of power.

Ski:
90 square nose with 701, ADA head with 35cc domes, mod B pipe with dual cooling with bottom screw our 1/8th turn middle screw closed and top out about 1 1/4. Has a 44 carb with 145 main, 120 pilot and 95g spring (from JetManiac) the top screw is out 1 3/4 and the bottom out 1 turn. Also have stock water box and a flow control valve. I have not messes with the shims for the control valve.

So I am stuck took it out today and got nowhere with it. Any help and ideas for tomorrow would be awesome.

Thank you
Stuart

Looks like you have it jetted per FP specs if your needle and seat is stock as well (1.5). Turn the screws out per FP specs and go from there. These specs are close to spot on for your setup.
Low: 2 1/2
High: 1 1/2

Ok cause I went to 2 1/4 on the low and it would hardly get out of its own way, the more I turned it in the better it got, just not sure if I can go lest than 3/4 or if I should start looking for a different problem

If it gets better as you go in then you're rich. You can go in less than 3/4. Just make sure you don't do anything crazy like WOT and such right away when making adjustments. Best to play it safe. What's your elevation?

Fixed it. Went down to a 115 low jet. Ran great, lots of low end power. Then added a washer to the flow control valve and made a big difference, sounded better and hit hard. Still needs a little more tweaking. With the pipe and carb. The water was kinda choppy so couldn't really tell where I was at
