need help please dual carbs?

hey i have 2 sbn 44's off some old squares. how do i go about running them together on my new 62t motor? i got some linkage that i can use but what do i do about the fuel pumps or how do i run the fuel lines. also can i just mount these on the stock 38 manni and bore it out to match the carb bodies? any help would really be appreciated. thanks

I was thinking about running two oem 44's together aswell. I was told that oem carbs not as a matched set would be very hard to tune because the manufacturing tolerances would be very different. I would like to know if anyone else has done this and if you had problems jetting?

I guess you could bore your intake if the spacing was correct. I was going to run my fuel lines as 2 separate fuel lines from tank and have the returns T together into one then have one return to tank.

Can be done, but kind of a hassle to do.
1st make sure you look at the model # under the fuel pump and make sure you have matching models, 61x (701) or 6m6 (650). Buy a shaft kit and coupler kit. Then make sure you use like a pro-tec, riva or the new Boyesen (preferred) with the wide spacing. If you use any of the narrow spaced intakes you need to modify 1 carb to have angled fittings to get the fuel lines not to kink with the straight ones.
Also check the low speed needle threads and make sure they match, fine and fine or course and course, Mikuni oem carbs came both ways depending what model they were on.

I am running this setup with an R&D manifold. Two single OEM 44's(4 Hole). I have chucky's porting done on a 62T/61X. His jetting suggestions were spot on and I haven't had any issues with tuning.

Well except for the grain of sand I had in my low speed jet in daytona.(motor kept running away on me) Don't know if anybody caught me with my carbs apart on the picnic table behind the makai. It's my own fault, I probably should have went over the carbs after sinking my ski three times in the surf last summer.

both of mine came from a 6m6, so this should work as long as screws match and use af intake manni? and can i put a t in the fuel line to both carbs or run 2 seperate lines? i was thinking i could do that and put a restrictor in the return line to make sure there was plenty of pressure for both carbs. what do you think?

I'm right here, No need for a restrictor in the return line, just 'T' them together and back to the tank. I prefer to run 2 separate inlet lines from the tank one to each carb, if you do it this way, you'll never have an air bubble in the feed line that causes the engine to stall at the most inopportune time of your life when feeding from a split single feed line.

My jetting setups are very specialized for the engine setups we run...
But for the most part on a 61X / 62T stock 5 port casting cylinder Yamaha, general base line setting is a good start then jet from there.
100 high 1 1/4 turn out
125 low 1 1/2 turn out
2.5 needle valve
80 gram spring for high compression race gas or 95 gram spring for mild pump gas compression.
