SXR Need help fresh rebuild

The good news I have a fresh rebuilt sxr motor (braappp) the bad news it's sitting at 200 psi... How can I lower it some, don't want to run race gas!! I had the head cleaned up by ZERO- awesome job but a little higher than expected. It was sitting at 160 before rebuild. Also is it safe to break this bad boy in with advanced timing (temp jump) and tdr waterbox?? Or is some carb adjusting needed?? Need help!!

If oiled up the sleeves and pistons when assembling, the compression will read a little higher than actual. After break in will prob be 190 cold, 180-185 hot

I hope that's the case, it is oiled up but... the pistons are slightly smaller than the bore so i was told it's pretty much already broke in.. If that doesn't work could a thicker head and base gasket fix the problem?

Whoever told you that has no idea what they are talking about, that space is there for heat expansion....

run it around and break it in for a bit and see where she lands...just keep the RPM's to a minimum if you are going to be running it on pump

It's looking good now! 165/170. I first tested it with carbs off and there was oil in the cylinders.. With everything bolted up got a good reading. NOOB move! Thanks for the input
