Freestyle Nationals

Does anyone know where nationals will be this year? I heard that it might be in Texas this year? Any info or direction to a site with info would be much appreciated. I looked on the APBA site and found nothing

When I looked Monday, there was still no site determined on the registration. I just looked & Nashville is listed as the location. However, the on-line registration for this race isn't available. It's not listed as an event on the Nashville Shores website either. Sounds to me like it's still not finalized. But, the Nationals website isn't kept that current either, so who knows. Wish it would come here though so it'd be in my backdoor again:biggthumpup:

I talked to Ross, who has been talking to Pat. Found out that Jet Skiers are done at Nashville. Every year, racers go off-roading at the camp site and destroy the parks property. Nashville Shores finally said enough. Ross told me that Pat is finishing up the papers and permits, and nationals will be in Clearlake, Texas, not sure on the date though.

I've been planning on going for the past couple years (since I first went in '09), but after hearing about some of the "Amateurs" out there, and it's not at Nashville, I might just hold out this year and just do worlds.

our own competitors (Racers and Freestylers) are ruining the race sites. At the Myrtle Beach site, there is no more overnight camping (RV's) because someone dumped their holding tank out on site............

I'm trying to figure out where. It's not like Clear Lake has that much shore area that would be suitable for a race, much less the whole set up.

Not that there wouldn't be any competition, but some of the Amateurs out there aren't exactly Amateur. I don't want to have to spend all the time and money going out there, just to be in a unfair competition, and not be able to protest it. I'll just wait till Worlds where the rules are actually enforced.

Lame, what are other ams doing that you can't do? You flip, roll, 360 and a bunch of other tight tricks. Who cares if someone can do 15 backies in a row or go 15' high, that kinda stuff isn't gonna win anymore. Just my .02. It be tight to see ya out there man, just saying

Believe me man, I'd love to go. But can't justify spending that kind of money if it's going to be an unfair competition.

I better see you guys at World Finals though! Competing at worlds is way different then any other exhibition/ comp I've ever done.
