NAPLES FL, where to ride?

Friend from Germany is going to be in Naples this weekend and I was going to drive down and bring the lads (my skis):woot: . Where can I ride around Naples???? Tried to search, but didn't find anything.

Thanks, I will. Did a search on PWCToday, here's an excerpt from "Kawi-Guy" (this is a post from 2003). I thought it was funny:

"They meet under the "New Pass" Bridge , at "Jet-Ski Beach"..... you can launch from under the bridge for free there. Most ride dreadfully old Standups, and I have noticed they wrench a lot."

Haha. "dreadfully old standups". They must be old since they don't even make those things anymore.....do they?

That's on Lovers Key. It's a cool little spot. But don't try to launch a couch there. They have Bollards up so you can't get a vehicle back there.
Nice place to ride though.

I'm down in Naples.
The best place to ride is up in Lee county (Lovers Key/Jetski Beach/New Pass) as the water cops are much friendlier.
However, if you do want to go out in Naples than you have several choices.
Key Waden is OK if you have a boat that could bring extra fuel for you. It's a place where everyone goes to hang out but there are several no wake zones to go through.
To get there you can launch at the Bayshore boat ramp.

Heck, (239)253-5113 is my number. Give me a call and I will tell you all about it instead of straining both my typing fingers.

That old post that Todd (Kawi-Guy) made referred to a group of guys that brought over a few old beat up 440's that they could never get to run.
They gave up on them soon after.

Boris, thanks. I may give you a call. Will be riding Sunday (won't get into Naples until Sat night). I'll drive up to Lee county if that is better riding. Not a fan of no wake zones, and I wouldn't have any boat support. Would love to be able to ride off a beach.
If I bring my beach tote would we be able to launch off "jet-ski beach"? Where exactly is the bridge/lauch area?

Thanks!

This link shows you were Jetski Beach is. (click on the "aerial image")
It's the little sandy area just off to the left of the bridge before it goes over the water.

There is a fence up but the gate is wide enough for any beach cart to get through. The Rangers are cool with it as long as you take your cart back to your vehicle once you offloaded or just stash it in some bushes.

Everything on the west side of the bridge is wide open , on the east side is 25MPH in the channel but not many people stick to that.
The nearest no wake zone is in the next pass south of New Pass so that isn't a concern.

Hands down I think that's the nicest place to ride in our area and the Lee county water cops are cool enough to let us play.

If I get my ski put back together tomorrow than I will be there on Sunday.
Look for the Polak with a square nose,....
and a SuperJet.

Boris, you mean the part on Big Hickory Island? So if I'm coming north from Naples it will be the spot on the left? I assume I'd be able to park there.
I'll look for you on Sunday, look for two yellow SuperJets (one round, one square) with shark's mouths. I'll be the one without blond hair and a German accent.

Yes, on the left before the bridge as you come from Naples and there is parking there.

I'm a bit pi$$ed as I didn't get my ski finished so I won't be able to come out and play.

I might be able to talk a friend into heading out to show you the way around. He has a blue RN and knows the area.
