name this head

I bought this head about a year ago and never used it. Can anybody tell me what head it is and who made it? It has removable domes in it, but they are no where close to the same size or shape and an ada head. so i know the domes from an ada head will not work in it.

MSD Twist w/domes?
MSD used to put their logo tag right in the middle rectangle area exactly like that and that size and it would always come off after time.
That looks like their latest version head before they quit making them in the mid 90's..has the "twist" design on top.
I could be wrong here, i dunno..??

Have a pic of the bottom by chance?

Bingo! We have a winner!
Troy is right. It is a twist head, the bad thing about them is the plastic headgasket and I'm sure that they are hard to find anymore as I got begged here to sell the 2 I had a couple of yeas ago...
I think I have a a couple of sets of domes still.

Dude you knew that because you told me you had a twist head at the beginning of the season... Did the ski hit you in the head a few times?

I have one of these at home that is no use to me. Would anyone be interested in it, it needs new domes. Just putting it out there!:biggthumpup:

i wanted to make sure it was a twist head because i want to sell it.

The top of the domes also have twists in them.

What is this head worth? The guy i bought it from said it made 195psi. There are numbers on the domes does anybody know how to decode them? Y832 does that mean 32cc domes?

Depends on if the girdle hardware is included. If this head has a thin gasket instead of o-rings, then 32cc would make sense for 195psi.

it's not worth that much if you can not get head gaskets for it. I was one of the persons chuckie was making a referance to about the gaskets. No issues with the performance of the head I was also at 195 with it. just not being able to get the gaskets made me sell it on a older square nose. There are still a few out there several differant designs..

Here is another MSD Twist head with domes. It has a different head shell design.
You can see its missing that same MSD logo in the middle too.

doesn't somebody on here make custom gaskets?

it would depend on if the head has been cut, or not... or has been designed to be used with this head in a stock stroke application.
