I haven't had the temp sensor hooked up since I've had the ski, and the wire "was" clipped and shrink wrapped. I can't even think of a place that it would be grounding on. Is there a way to test it, to see if that's what's wrong?
Thanks,
Bri

Sounds like an electrical breakdown to me. Have you measured the resistance across the spark plug wires? If you have stock plug caps and the stock coil you will read somewhere around 4k to 5k ohms. If you have the NGK resistor caps you will read around 14.5k to 15k ohms. If you do not get a reading and it shows like an open circuit you have either a bad spark plug cap or more likely a bad wire. This can cause arcing and weird problems where it will run at low RPMs and breakdown as you try to rev. It could also be a bad coil. If the wires are bad they can be replaced in a stock coil.

No prob, sometimes you can just cut the wires back a little to find the break. I have found some that have broken near where they go into the electical box. One of my riding buddies has his own shop and can replace the wires if you need that done. LMK if you need his info. Good luck.

That was it. I got pissed cuz when I first checked them it was at 4.5K. The next second I look at the meter and there's 0 continuity. 2 seconds later it's reading 4.5 again, I start jigglin' the wires and it stays at 4.5 UNTIL I got down to the electrical box, the wire is broken internally where it comes through the grommet.
I owe you a bottle of whatever you drink, If it's beer I'll get ya a couple of kegs LOL
Thanks Again Man :woot:

Cool, glad you found the prob. Catch me at the next Freeride and I take you up on that beer. If you can't find anyone local to replace the wires. I think Jet Ski Solutions does it but I don't know what they charge. One of our riding buddies has a Ski / Cycle Repair business and can do it for you. He goes by RD and will treat you right. The business name is

"Youngs Ski and Cycles"
615-449-2373

I think his hours are 9-6 M-F Central time.
