Super Jet my new to me 93 SJ

so its been a long time coming for me to finally get back on the water. around 98-99 i was racing with the outlaws here in austin doing offshore endurance. after 2 back surgeries and a neck fusion (not from racing but prolly had something to do with it LOL) i sold my skis.

1st ski: 1995 sea doo gtx
2nd ski: 1999 sea do gtx ltd
3rd ski: 1994 (i think) FX-1 - never could ride it. took it as part of a deal for my 1995 gtx.

fast forward to now and i am happy to say ski #4 is a 1993 superjet. its not the prettiest ski ever but its solid. i have done a few things to it since bringing it home. it already had an ocean pro ride plate and i think an ocean pro intake grate.

replaced all fuel line
new check valve (one in it was cracked from stem to stem)
rebuilt the carb
added a primer kit
odi grips
blowsion flame arrestor
new bow eye
new fuel filter
sealed deka/deca battery

i have a 9/17 skat trak prop waiting to go in. just waiting on my new to me wear ring and housing to show up. other plans are to repaint the top deck, swap the hydroturf and do turf rails. i don't freestyle or anything but i like the look of turfed rails. i am in no hurry to do any of this, just enjoying the ski as it is for now.

had to add a nut to the handle bars to keep it from coming loose. eventually i want to replace the pole and all steering. the pole has a nice gak at the bottom and was patched. its strong but ugly as sin.

anyhoo i very much enjoy this ski. did not take me long to get the hang of standing up and not falling over with in the first 30 seconds.
