Kinda weird to try and explain, its very inconsistant. Seems to stutter than stall when you go from idle to mid/wide open throttle sometimes it clears and goes like a banshee, other times it stalls. it will randomly stall when cruising. usually restarts ok, but sometimes doesnt. No muy bueno. we have checked the fuel filters externally, havent cracked the carb off yet to look at the carbs' internal one yet. His seems like a bitch to get to compared to my 61x, and we were hoping to figure it out by this weekend. Any ideas on what we should do? I really havent been into a carb very much and am a little intimidated, is it complicated? what should I know going into it, or do you think it has a different problem. Also I noticed that he has a weird cooling configuration, He has a water hose going from the inlet of the stinger of his factory B pipe going out the front outlet. Mine is done way differently.

I realized i should probably provide a little more info on the ski. It has stock dual carbs, stock air filter, b mod pipe, stock head, stock electronics, his only has 1 cooling line, where mine is set up for dual, how should the cooling lines be run with only one inlet?

Check out Factory Pipes website for cooling routing specifics, but basic setup is as follows: incoming line to manifold barb, head to bottom or top of headpipe barb, from remaining headpipe barb to stinger "T'd" near stinger with leg to stinger and straight through to pisser (not the stock one)

I think you should look at pulling the carbs to clean or rebuild. Blow through all fuel lines to ensure they are clog free. Also check the plugs to look for any obvious issues. Taking a carb down is not difficult at all. Look in the Tech section for carb jetting etc to see some pictures. While your in there check that the jets are correct. I think the basic FPP jetting should be 75 pilot and 135 on the highspeed.

Edit, pilot should be 70.
