Custom/Hybrid My first trip to The Ski Clinic

Today I drove to The Ski Clinic to drop off my ski for some minor glass work and tuning.

Very nice Shop not too big not too small.

Everyone treated like a bro and was real cool.

I got to take a look at alot of boats and check out the changes being made.

Very confident that my ski should be working better than ever.

Hooked up with DK1 and bought a sweet gear bag.

Very stoked so far and will post results of tuning.

They have always taken good care of me and do great work. It is about 90min each way for me to get there but more than worth it.

Closer to 2 hours for me, but I am sure it is worth it. I will be talking to Big D today and getting things worked out. They are working on some hot new products that I think will turn some heads and maybe change the way some guys think about flatwater and surf riding.

I did indeed see something very interesting in the shop. :^)

They taking care of your boat. Where was the crack at, I asked the clinic why you brought it in.

Sick boat oh wait thats mine. Yes t1919 I had a small area with some damage that is noraml for these hulls. I wanted to fix it for the next guy to make sure he has a strong boat.

Waiting patiently for my new Footrocket to get here from Australia.

Thats right suckas we have three footrockets on the way from down under.

So I dropped my ski off Monday and at 9 am tuesday morning I get a call from Big D, I thought he was calling to ask about the ski he had already had the carbs apart the ebox out found a couple of problems fixed em and kept going.

He worked on my ski late and almost got it dialed, at that point most would have called and said pick it up. He was still not happy and continued finding the Manifold crossover had been filled with jb weld. The local guy says that needs to be done to make it run right (wrong).

I have a quick meeting this morning and then off to the Delta to pick up and test my ski.

This ski has not run right for the last couple of seasons and I am stoked.

I cant wait and will post results when I get in.

Um, excuse my ignorance, but shouldn't this thread be moved to the "positive" feedback section? Or does that only apply when a customer has a bad encounter... Hmm

On a more serious note, how'd the ski do?

POSITIVE TO SAY THE LEAST. Showed up at the ski clinic close to noon today. Holy sheat he went to town on my ski. DK handled my boat and really went out of his way to take excellant care of me and my needs. I brought a suit and went to the launch near the shop. DK went down for a water test on a sitdown asked how it felt and I thought is was off a little. Long story short he spent another Hour at No charge at the dock with me to make sure ALL of my needs were met.

What another great example of caring about the customers needs.

In a poor economy where every penny counts he made the differance for me. BRAAAAP FING BRAAAP.

If you need to get ahold of me be patient I will be on the water.

What carbs were you running and why was filling the crossover bad? Almost every aftermarket manifold I have ever seen has no crossover yet filling the crossover in the stock manifold is bad?

38s I was told by some jackass I ride with that filling the crossover makes it run better. It clearly makes it run on and cannot be tuned as easily.

Same exact thing happened to me. I jumped on the filled crossover band wagon and it sucked. Back to the stock unfilled manifold the next day. 38s here too.

My ski is snapping back now and I cant wait until tomorrow to ride it.

Not Braaaaap Braaaap but Braap Braap. Life is gonna be better.
