My cylinders wont fit on my cases ... WTF?!?!?

ok so i just got my cylinders i bought and just tried to install them and the cylinders wont fit on my cases????


i bought a 61x top end to mount on my 6m6 cases everyone said it would work but the cylinders wont go in, its teh bottom part of teh cylinders that go into the casing that wont go it .... it seems too big ....



what do i do now ????

You got wrong info...The 701 sleeves will fit AFTER you flycut/or some home careful die grinding them... Late 701 cases will let the 760 cylinder fit.

i have a spare set of 61x cases and intake manifold if you would rather have 61x cases.

how much the guy i bought the cylinders from had them for 61 shipped if you can beat that ill take them if not ill get them from him and do you have reeds too ?

i was just planning to do a 701 top end but my 650 still runs so if i dont get it working by then ill just put on the 650

what kind of pipe/manifold are you going to run?

the 650 is a bit different than the 701 as far as cylinder exhaust outlets.

if you have the 61x cylinder just buy a set of cases...they are cheap....6m6 cases with 701 cylinder is kind of a waste of time/performance....

been there done that and wish I put the time into a 61x setup...

IMO clearance and run your 6M6 cases until you have the money for a 62T setup.

So what would i have to grind down the cases or the bottom of the sleeves ? and what will happen if its not perfectally snug will it be screwed

Grind the cases, it will be fine if it's not totally perfect.

You'll have to take the crank out of the cases if you're going to grind on them. Just change the cases while you have it apart.

Black OEM 62T cases from 701's will fit 760 cylinders, I want to say about '98 up. Late cases have the boss for the 2nd pulse fitting, But not drilled and installed. (order new pulse nipple from dealer)
