my 1993 sx750- what to do next?

I just got it today and it already as some reasonable mods. bilge, prop, intake grate, ride plate, one way valve, reeds, flame arrestor, primer, intake manifold, oil injection blockoff.

Im happy with it, for its age it looks great and well maintained, it is my first standup and I havent even gotten to ride it yet. I plan on painting it over the winter because I cant stand the barney purple and pink- just not me.

So where do I go next with it? (other than sell it for a superjet) I guess I should learn to ride it before making it any more powerful, but for next season I could use some suggestions.

Get some aftermarket bars with aftermarket grips(bars would be umi and grips would be odi rogues or ruffians) and just ride the damn thing for the rest of the summer. You can do all tricks on a stock engine.

big 10-4 on aftermarket bars. also a finger throttle would help, and an aftermarket turn plate, which is shortened and has a wider turn radius, will improve maneuverability and bring your center of gravity farther forward in the tray. the ski looks to be in good shape. congrats, a 750 is a good first ski to have. also check out wetwolf.com for an aftermarket pump cone. it's an affordable ($50), easy, 2-bolt install job that will improve water flow through your pump dramatically. DO NOT put a timing advance plate in. it doesn't give a very noticeable increase in performance and it can fry your stator, which is not a cheap thing to replace. other than that leave it stock until you get bored and want more power. my 750 is so hopped up it breaks down on a frequent basis. it's got lots of :brap: but it's unreliable. so this weekend i went out and bought an SX-R because i was tired of wrenching every time i wanted to ride. stock=reliable=priceless!

If it were me I'd want to ride it and see what I wanted to change and if I liked it how it was... you may go ride it and then ride a friends SJ and want to sell it and get a SJ right then and there  No reason to drop money in advance for winter plans if you sell it ya know ;)
