mtb buildup for my wife

Well, frame/fork actually. I didn't have any luck selling my old one so picked up a 2005 Specialized Hardrock frame with RST fork for $60 to build up for my wife using the parts off my Fisher. I need to get a seatpost and I think a new bottom bracket too since those aren't compatible.

The crankset is my question.
the Fisher shows:
Bottom Bracket Shimano BB-UN52, 110mm spindle BB Shell Width 73mm English
and the Spec shows:
Bottom Bracket TruVativ, 113mm spindle BB Shell Width 68mm English

So what do I need for the bottom, just new cartridge bearings that fit?

I'll probably buy one since I'll be doing more of this stuff later on. Thanks for the offer. I've got a cassette socket, chain whip (hwip for the cartoon watchers), and chain breaker already so might as well get the rest of the stuff.

I stripped the frame today, took all of 10 minutes, just have to drop the fork out and it's ready to sand/prime/etc.

I got most of the paint stripped off the frame today. I'll finish it up tomorrow probably, do a light sand and primer it.

Remember it's for my wife, but as of now I'm going to paint it solid black and maybe add some pink graphics on the frame with some pink accessories like cable housing/grips and not sure what else.

Here's where I am now. red bike is my old one, silver is the Hardrock I picked up, and a shot of the Hardrock stripped and almost ready for primer/paint after a light sanding.

I needed to pull the crankset off the red frame so took it to the lbs and was planning on buying a puller but ended up trading the frame to them in exchange for pulling the crankset/bb out. They sell Fisher bikes and since it's a steel frame and close to indestructable, they said they'd build it up as another shop bike. Saved me $15 too.

Next pic it will be pink...

$60 didn't get me a full bike, about the only I'm using from that is the frame/fork/headset, still a good deal since the Hardrock is a good frame and pretty light too.

We went for a ride together yesterday for the first time and got 'offroad' some in our neighborhood. She did awesome and really likes the bike.

Due to frame geometry, the chain is too short to use all 9 gears so I had to limit the rear derailleur to 8, so ordered up a chain and a small chainring so I can give her 2x9 instead of 1x8.

Overall though, I'm really pleased. A few new items like seat/bottom bracket/seat post, quite a bit of stuff off my old bike, and it rides great and fits her perfectly.

Good deal.

Rode with Paul sunday at Blankets Creek. Of course we rode the most difficult trail. Can you say climb, climb, climb, climp. I was hurting from not riding in a week plus I have a really bad pulled muscle in my back from my little dance with a tree. Made it hard to come out of the saddle and crank up some of the hills.
