What color is the sticker on the msd box? Gold or silver background? The first boxes MSD had you set the static timing 5 degree's more than you wanted to run...(silver I believe) and the gold ones you set to what you wanted to run. I would never run them anymore as most of the early boxes that used plug-in chips didn't do what the chip said it would do...so when you didn't get the right curves it would burn up my pistons in my maxed out race motors!
Get a real digital ignition, (new MSD-TL) if you want to play hard with TL systems.

it is a gold sticker and it is my mates pretty basic set up just c/f reeds b pipe dual 38s and 165 psi do you still reakon dont run it
it has no ajustments on it so i dont know how to change the curve or any thing the only thing i can do is wire it thats why i am chasing the instructions
