Msd total loss integrated switch with lanyard.

I was searching for the module that a member made to control the on/off msd tl brain but it seems like is not available anymore.

Due to the lack of it, my mechanic came up with a solution that may work even easier and cheaper. I havent tried yet but I will try to explain...

There is an always + wire inside the oem yam start stop switch. First it goes to the lanyard switch and after that it goes to start button.

So, if we attach a wire between the lanyard switch and the start green buttom, it will work just like the brain without that new element to the system.

The only complain is that you have to remove the lanyard (or just the clip) when you want to turn off the brain.

IMO it is gonna work easy and no harness other the a wire will be necessary.

Anyone have ever tryed it??

Whats the update, did this work?

I didin't tryed just because I dont have an old start stop switch and I didnt want to mess up mine.

As I run most of the time in salt water, I was also worried about the joint inside the switch box. Im sure that JSS and other guys can add a cable from the box to the brain and keep it safe against corrosion.

There's no way I can imagine it to do not work. It is an always (when layniard attached) activeted 12V.

I just got the "SHIFTY MODULE" from Thrust.
