Super Jet MSD question

I have a buddy with this on his square. Can anyone tell me what it is. I know its made by msd and the spark plugs go into it. It seats in front of the ebox

So I just found out that it could be a msd pro coil. Now thats out the way, what is it for? Is it just a better coil

Msd coils = not so great. OEM kawi or yami's are better.

It is a coil for a single channel total loss system.

So if the ski has this coil then it must have total loss???

Not necessarily, but it's possible.

if it has total loss, the box is red in color and likely mounted piggy back onto the stock electrical box (it's too large to fit inside). Most likely a previous owner just installed that coil to get higher spark voltage - not necessarily better with stock cdi.
