MSD enhancer w/ advanced timing plate.

After reading up on the MSD enhancer. They do not recommend using the advanced timing plate in combo w/ their enhancer.

Does anyone have this combo. And know why they wouldn't recommend it?

the enhancer advances the timing curve, i guessing the combo would push it too far and decrease power, maybe cause damage?

It wouldn't decrease power, but you run the risk of advancing timing at the top of the RPM range too much.
This can cause detonation on pumpgas, which can destroy your motor.

what you need then is their retard module.
it'll pull timing at higher rpm to keep it safe.
used an enhancer+timing plate+retard module on a 2001sxi pro superstock for 3 or more years with no problems.
215psi and 80/20 vpc12+super unleaded with no detonation.

enhancer is better.better curve.but for max power the 3 combo can't be beat.
