Is there any way to repair a MSD Enhancer? Mine just crapped out and I had to put a stock 650 in there for now. Are they reliable enough to buy another? I got mine in my previously owned ski. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

It's old. Bummer. How about the reliability. I searched previous threads and it seems as if it is a 50/50 shot on getting one that will run forever. Is that about right?
By the way, what are the limitations of running my 650 cdi in my 760? Should I expect a big explosion? :Banane09:
It's going to be a temporary replacement until I can find a 701 cdi. I think it is the 701 electronics. Can I still expect the same bottom end brap, or limitations all around. Thanks Matt.

msd will repair it, but if its old they wont pay for it. with the 650 cdi u will have some bottom end but the power will shut off real early cause of that rev limiter. You can ride it but u will hate it. i'd keep running the msd.
I only plan to run the 650 cdi for maybe one ride. I might just end up taking the one from my blaster right now. Thanks again for all of your help.

Give me your CDI on Sat and I will mod it, get rid of your rev limiter. Then take off your flywheel cover and advance your static timing 2-3 deg. More pop than an Enhancer, and will last forever.
