Custom/Hybrid Moving motor mounts

Can anyone provide the info or point me in the direction of information on how to move the location of my motor mounts.

Like...
Adding location to put yamaha motor in a kawi hull
Adding 2 to put a tripple in a twin hull
Moving the mounting locations to change the location of the motor
Adding mounts to a custom hull that doesn't yet have any motor mount inserts.

That kind of stuff.

think the best bet is get a metal bar, bolt it to where the current motor mounts bolt to the hull, then trill and tap out new holes for where you want the new location to be.

I would much prefer to put in new inserts. I don't think just glassing in a nut would do the job.

You can dry fit metal plates. Line everything up and mark where to drill. Then remove plates, drill/tap. Then glass the metal plates in.
