Motor Swap?

I have a 1993 superjet sn, with a 650 motor.

ive been having troubles with the motor and found out that the compression is low on the rear head.

so now i am thinking if i should rebuild the 650? ...or buy a 701? what do you guys think?
do i need new ebox if i get the 701? or any other parts.

I have a '93 also, it's my second one lol, 93 rocks!! (because I could find them, haha) I would go with a 701. I'm going the extra mile and going to Jetmaniac ported cases and cylinders and get my flywheel shaved by #Zero. I'm just piecing it together as I go along. I'm deployed overseas right now to a tiny island at the edge of the world and have only rode once in the last 12 months, so I have been hoarding parts like crazy. I'm looking to be done around this fall some time.
Just keep your eyes peeled, motors and electronics pop up cheap all the time, you just gotta know when to jump. I saw a Rad 62T flywheel go for 50+shipping on PWCtoday... I just turned off the computer and went to bed after that event.
It seems the better stand up parts are here on the X anyway as I've bought all my parts from here. I would get a 701 and an enhancer CDI. Depending on your budget I would go 61x for cheap or a 62t for a more expensive alternative.

what is the difference between the 61x and the 62t?
 
The 61X is a single carb 701 and the 62t is the dual carb cases. The 62t has bigger reeds, but I have been told there isn't too much difference in power between the 2. The current SuperJet engine is 62t cases and the cylinders are 61x.

also if you get new to end, make sure you find out what caused the problem first before it destroys your new top end.
