I'm moved by DASA power!
Ok i was riding today, heard a huge pop, and the little vibration i felt at full throttle, quickly turned into a huge snap. turn out the engine i built blew up the coupler. What the best one to replace it with. not sure if it ,makes any diffference but it blew it up from the engine side of the coupler. Is this super hard to fix? i have some knowledge of the workings of my ski, but.. this seems bad. should i get someone else to work on it? the local guy charges 150 an hour labor, id rather do it myself if possible. Any help would be tremendous. i want this thing in the water in 2 weeks if possible. What does everyone think? thanks in advance, btw i love this site! great knowledge available for mediocre wrenchers!

it was a stock one

that was a 3 finger, which i have now found was no good. i am not sure if it was the result of the problem or the problem, I just got the motor fixed, it runs great now! i had a vibration that got bad in the last 1/4 of the throttle. and when i juiced it it blew. My friend thought it might have been the nearings at first. we were going to look into it this week, today i took it out and the coupler blew up. the motor stars and runs strong. it did take out my dual bilges though. but those are easy to replace.

anyone know how the couplers are connected to the engine?

Do you have to pull the engine to work on this, not a big deal its doable with my friends help but i just want to know what im getting into.
