Mikuni SBN 46mm

I have a 46mm carb on my 61x motor. it is a complete WetJet intake.

you will have to get a different manifold - as you will not be able to just enlarge the existing opening and mount the carb. The bolt spacing is different.

It means they're not responsible for the jetting it comes with and if you install the carb or carbs without changing the jetting; it may damage your engine.

Also 46mm and 44mm Mikuni's work fine on 64X OEM intakes.

What manifold are you running and are you happy with it??

Im running the dreaded riva manifold :nono: I am very happy with it although I have been told my ski is a time bomb because the riva manifolds suck :bs2:

btw where are you in jacksonville? my dad grew up there

Thanks for the info. I think i will go with the ATP mani if I go single. The exchange rate is looking better. I don't think the riva manifold is a bad.

I live off beach blvd near 9-A. We ride a good bit. Look me up if you come to jax.

that setup has a wider bolt spacing than a STD 46mm.

But the 46mm will work, just your opening will be 2mm smaller. +/-

Hey Joe,
The Riva intake is not bad. I ran it for a while. However, with the exchange rate right now, you can go with the ATP for just a little more money. Well worth the extra money IMO.
Just some friendly FYI, don't waist your money on A/M reeds just yet either. I run stock cages with CF reeds and it is more than enough. The single Novi 48 on the other hand will complete the package.

Hi Mike. I am leaning toward your set up. Already talked with tim and he said the freestyle 48 would be right up my ally. If I go single I will go the ATP way (the exchange rate is getting good). Also talked with Art at jet works. They both know carbs. They both told me the same thing. Which makes me feel good. I am at 770 cc and they both said a true 48 was to big for my setup.

I wish you could of rode my ski at Matanzes. That would of given you an idea.
My carb is 46mm on top and 48mm on the bottom so I assume that is what they are talking about as a "true" 48mm?

The freestyle is the one you have. They stated it was 44mm to a 48mm on bottom. The true 48 is 48mm from top to bottom.

Oh, OK. I thought I measured mine when I got it and the top was 46mm. Also it is a silver carb which I "thought" were SBN 46mm carbs. Oh well, either was it works really well....

Mike, You have the Novi freestyle FS48mm, Novi uses a 44mm, body then modify's them for a 48mm throttle plate and lower bore.
All 44mm carb body's will measure 46mm at the top of the carb bore.
You do not have the 48mm-48mm Novi race carb. (They use a clamp-on F/A)

Thanks Chuck. You learn something new every day.

Mike, how is your carb setup on gas,are ya getting close to the same run time on a tank as everyone else? I have a 5 mil long rod stroker with a fuel injection setup.Im thinking about taking it off and putting on a single 46 mil from jetworks.jetted right would this carb flow enough fuel for this motor?

It's not bat at all on gas. About the same fuel consumption as when I had dual 38's.
