300/440/550 Mikuni High-Performance Super BN44 bolt on?

Anybody know if the Super BN44 is a direct swap onto a Kawi 550? It had a standard 44 on there and we found a huge crack down the whole carb. I got him the Super BN44 and he says he having trouble installing it. Something about it hitting the head and not seating all the way.....? Maybe its user error. IDK. Dont know much about the kawi's. Somebody help me out. Thanks.

You have to either get an aftermarket manifold like the angled Ocean Pro or a BCW intake manifold. That or get a manifold spacer from fresh watercraft. Otherwise you are correct, it will not bolt up because it will hit the head.
