Mikuni Cover Screws

Does anyone know the size of the screws that hold the covers on a SBN44?
That would be the 4 long screws holding together the fuel pump
and the 4 short ones holding on the metering side cover?
Mine are stripped and I want to order replacements in stainless.

you can get stainless screws from lows, cannot remember the size off hand.
#6 maybe???

It should be a 5 by .80 ...as far as the length got a micrometer??

I just took the screws to Ace Hardware and matched them up. I bought enough to 3 or 4 carbs so that I won't ever have to worry about searching for one if I drop it. They also have the little phillips screws that hold the plate down inside the carb it doesn't hurt to have a few of those.

My experience is that very small hex socket screws are easier to strip than the philips heads they come with. I also like that internal Mikuni screws are NOT stainless. My drivers are magnetic tipped and greatly reduce the chance of dropping screws. I've never had any trouble with the screws rusting in any of my carbs.
