Mid shaft help

Are the mid shaft bearings the same for an fx=1 as a sj? I know the mid shafts themselves our different. The fx-1 shaft on right and sj on left. Please help. Thanks

Just take the bearing and seals out and to a bearing supply house to get new ones. They'll measure and get you the right ones, plus they'll typically be better quality and cheaper than from a jetski shop.

some of the supply houses sell German/Swiss bearings....high quality

Yep, and Japanese is good too. Just ask what they carry and which is the best, they are the experts. We have several bearing places here in Louisville, I think paid maybe $10 for bearing/seals last time I rebuilt my housing.

Oh, get double lip seals for all 3, they'll last longer and keep the water out better, just be careful when pumping the grease in so you don't pop a seal out.

you need a 6205 sealed bearing-elec motor grade will do, about $15.
Do yourself a favor and use the oem seals (3) for proper sealing.
You'll need a press and a 2" socket for back up.
