Does anyone run their middle screw set to anything other then closed? Reason I ask mine would not seal so I thought maybe just needed a new screw and would replace it. Turns out the hole from the water jacket into the pipe is slightly off from the point where the set screw hits so it will not close all the way. Easy fix would be seal the hole and plug the waterjacket with the screw and it would be same as having the screw closed. Other option is fill hole and re-drill (taper too I woul guess?) in the center not that much more work but I have to be spot on when i re-drill the hole or it will be how it is now again......does that make sense or am 'splainin' bad?

Never ran it any way but shut. Did it come maligned from the factory? Maybe they'd warranty it.
Not sure if it came that way I would guess so. I got it used CHEAP and other then that it is in perfect shape freshly POWDERcoated and shinny like my BALD head! By the time i send it to factory they sit on it for a while fix and send back I could spend the little time to fix it myself and be done with it.

I had a similar deal on a j pipe and just made a allen head screw that filled/covered the hole. Only issue is if you want to sell it later . . .

I am pretty confident I can fill and redrill with about 97% chance of hitting the center this time. but if there is no reason to open that setting I will prob just fill and it and let it be. Bubble gum will work right?
