Ive got a lot of questions, just going to fire them off and hope I get the answers.

1.What should I do to prep a used bendix? I have heard of bathing it in gear oil then blowing it out and greasing the ends before install...

2.Are all Yamaha crank keys the same, and where do I get one

3.How far in should I press my FX-1 midshaft into the housing

4.What is the best starter relay to use for a TL ignition

more to come....

D-Roc

I forgot!
i soak my bendix in ATF because of the detergents that are in the fluid. I then let is drain out for a couple days. If it is toast then cleaning it won't change a thing, If it is in good shape then a little maintance goes a long way.

that key is call a "woodruff key" and it's the same for all the cranks I have seen by yamaha.

intermediate shaft:
you need to measure the distance from your mounted engine coupler to the bulkhead then minus the difference of the length +3-4mm for clearance.
