lowspeed jet mismatch

i have a 92 square nose with a 61`x/62t, dual 38s, vortex f/a's, riva red pipe, porting (dont know what extent, already done when purchased) and a triton engineering head touching down at 190 psi.

I got my main jet tuned a while back, but ended up never working with the low speed jet. Im trying to get the damn ski back together (and buying a new car at the same time) before daytona next week, so i really dont have time to fiddle out in the lake buying 2 or 3 sets of jets. Im also putting in footholds and returfing currently, had to gut the tray, the foam was soaked... so I got my hands full.

Currently the ski feels like it has no power on the bottom, and around half way up in power it opens up when the highspeed kicks in. Currently the lows are 67.5 and If i remember correctly the high was at 125.... but I may be wrong. Tuned to many different mikunis lately....

Any ballpark would be apprecieated.

seems too lean. You should be 70-75 pilot 135-140 main. This obviously is going to vary depending on the extent of the porting.

well I know 67.5 is to lean, I just dont know how much bigger to go. Didnt know if Id need to hop right up to 80 or whatever may be good.

Perhaps Ill try even one bigger on my mains, but I think they are pretty spot on. ... Pulls hard as hell, but maybe Ive just never ridden on a properly tuned 701 to compare too...

Unless anyone else chimes in i guess i try 72.5 or 75

stock jetting on that motor setup with 38s is 70 lows and 130 highs. I know with the factory pipe, the popular jetting is 75 and 135 per paul lehrs recommendations on a stock ported motor.

Tune according to the mikuni manual. Every setup is different, but you should get a good baseline with the above specs to start off at.
