I have used them to ship items big and small and I do some shipping for people via that site... I travel between Ohio and Texas (my work commute) and I get shipments to help pay for gas.
One piece of advice do your homework on any shipper you want to use. check there feedback and only ever pay a max of 50% in advance. Its like any internet site lots of great honest shipper but lots of scammers too.

I have used roadway and yellow. The people that I bought the ski's from had to crate them for me.. So I had to pay them a little to do that. Make sure they build a strong crate.. Shipping companies don't care about your stuff at all.
