SXR little sxr help

anyone know what way the steel bottom plate under the engine goes? is the hole in plate under the intake or exhaust side? thank you.

I'm pretty sure its the exhaust side. Use to be for crankcase drain in 750's

rodger that. it is on the exhaust side. just confirmed on my bud's wifes sxi. first time splitting cases on a kawi. i got all uppity and cleaned all the parts real nice. then couldnt put it back together using my time honored method of lining up the water scum marks. thanks for replies.
