i have a kerker exhaust that i want to put on my 550, do i need to change out my jets in the carb or can i run the stock ones?

Depends on the carb. The bn series round body carbs did not have removable jets to tune.. the keihin that came on the reed engines did have changeable jets. Typically adding a tuned pipe will require jetting changes.
